StudyPDF

That's us

Quizzes from your own notes, class slides and study guide

Use StudyPDF for the material you already have. Upload your anatomy slides, class notes and readings, and it builds flashcards, quizzes and timed practice exams from them. Bo, the tutor, answers from your files and cites the page. Pair it with ATI's official practice tests, because StudyPDF is not a TEAS question bank and is not affiliated with ATI. The free plan needs an account, no card, and gives you about 4 materials a week.

Strengths

  • Practice that matches what your own classes and notes cover
  • Sectioned, optionally timed practice exams with a graded report per section
  • A free 15-question TEAS practice quiz in the browser

Limits

  • Not a TEAS question bank, and not made or endorsed by ATI
  • ATI says its prep content cannot be copied or shared, so check its terms before uploading it
  • Weekly caps on every plan

How we picked

  • We started from the exam: 170 questions in 209 minutes, four timed sections. So we looked for timed, full-length practice and rationales, not only facts.
  • Prices, free tiers and guarantees come from each vendor's own site, checked in October 2026. Sale prices are marked as such. Prices change, so check before you pay.
  • We sort by use case, not by rank. A study guide, a video course and a phone question bank solve different problems.
  • We did not buy or test these products. Descriptions and numbers come from the vendors' own pages, and we give no number where we could not find one.
  • No prep product replaces your program's rules. Programs differ on the TEAS version, the proctor and the minimum score.

More on this

The ATI TEAS 7 has 170 questions in 209 minutes, split into four timed sections: Reading, Math, Science, and English and Language Usage. Only 150 questions count toward your score. There is no single passing score. Each program sets its own cut score, and many use a level such as Proficient as the minimum, so check your program first.

Start with ATI's own material, because ATI writes the exam. Take one full practice test early to see which section costs you the most points, then add one course or question bank for that section instead of buying three. Free starting points: NurseHub's four diagnostic tests, Mometrix's 170-question test, Pocket Prep's 80 free questions and Union Test Prep.

Questions and answers

Which TEAS prep is best?

For most students it is ATI's own study guide and practice tests, plus one course for your weakest section. ATI writes the exam, so its material is the closest match. Smart Edition is the lower-cost course, and Mometrix and NurseHub go deeper. Try a free diagnostic first.

What is the best app for TEAS prep?

ATI has an official TEAS app with a free version and paid 30-day and 90-day access. Pocket Prep has 2,500 questions and 80 free ones, Smart Edition's app holds its full course, and Archer Review has an app too. Try the free tiers before you pay.

Is 78% a good TEAS score?

It depends on your program. There is no single passing score: each school sets its own, and many use a level such as Proficient as the minimum. In the example minimums Mometrix lists, programs ask for anything from 58.7% to 78%. Check the number each of your schools wants.

Is two weeks enough to study for the TEAS?

It can be, if a full practice test already puts you near your program's minimum. ATI's registration page suggests at least six weeks to improve a score between attempts, and Smart Edition suggests 6 to 8 weeks for a gain of 10 to 20 points. Take a practice test now, then decide.

What happens if you fail the TEAS?

The TEAS has no pass or fail of its own, but you can retake it. ATI does not limit attempts, many schools do, and you must wait at least 48 hours before booking a retake through ATI. Check your school's attempt limit and waiting period before you register.
