Delete your StudyPDF account
You can delete your StudyPDF account yourself, at any time, from the app or from the web. This page shows you the steps and tells you exactly what is removed and what we have to keep.

Three ways to delete your account
In the StudyPDF app
Open the Profile tab, tap Account, then tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen. You confirm twice, and the account is deleted right away.
On the web
Sign in at app.studypdf.net, open Settings and go to the Account tab. Delete account sits at the bottom of that tab.
By email
If you cannot sign in any more, write to [email protected] from the email address of your account. We check that the account is yours and delete it for you.
What is deleted
Deletion starts the moment you confirm. There is no waiting period, and it cannot be undone.
- Your account, your profile and the way you sign in.
- Every file you uploaded, including the copies in our file storage.
- Your courses, your chats with Bo, and everything Bo built for you: flashcards, quizzes, exams, study guides, summaries, cheat sheets and mind maps.
- The search index built from your documents. It holds the text of your uploads, so that text goes with it.
- Your study history: progress, review history, streaks, statistics and feedback.
- Shared spaces you own, together with the member data inside them.
- Your address in our newsletter list.
- A subscription bought on our website is cancelled at the same time.
What we have to keep
Two things stay behind, and we would rather say so plainly.
Invoices and payment records
German commercial and tax law requires us to keep accounting records for ten years (section 147 of the Abgabenordnung). Invoices and payment records for purchases you already made stay with our payment provider Stripe and are not removed together with your account.
Usage statistics
Product analytics recorded before the deletion are not removed automatically. We read them in aggregate to see how the product is used overall. If you want your analytics data removed as well, write to [email protected] and we will take care of it.
If you pay for a plan
- A subscription you bought on our website is cancelled when your account is deleted.
- A subscription you bought through Google Play or the App Store is billed by the store, not by us. Deleting your account does not stop it. Cancel it in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, or in your App Store account settings.
- Deleting your account does not refund what you already paid. For a Google Play purchase, ask Google for the refund. For a purchase made on our website, write to [email protected].
