Is Quizlet free for teachers?

Quizlet offers a free teacher account with the basics: you can create sets and classes and share them with students. The teacher-specific extras such as deeper progress tracking sit behind a paid teacher plan, usually sold as a yearly subscription after a trial. The exact price and what is included change, so check Quizlet's pricing page. If you want the whole class practicing on your own material for free, a course-scoped tool is a different model.

For many teachers the free Quizlet account is enough: make a vocabulary set, put students in a class, let them use Learn and Match. Where it gets tight is when you want to see how each student is doing across a unit, or you want material that comes from your own slides rather than a set you typed by hand.

The second question is what the students pay. On Quizlet the free student experience has ads and limits on some study modes. With a teacher-first tool like StudyPDF the teacher pays a plan priced by class size, starting at $14.99 a month, and students learn for free on web and mobile, with nothing to buy.

The third difference is where the content comes from. Quizlet sets are written card by card, pulled from a huge library of other people's sets, or generated with Magic Notes from pasted notes, which is capped on the free plan. StudyPDF builds flashcards, quizzes, exams and study guides from the files you upload, cites the page for every item, and tracks progress per concept.

More questions

Can students use Quizlet without paying?

Yes, the student account is free, with ads and limits on some features. Paid student plans remove the ads and unlock the rest. In StudyPDF students in a teacher's class pay nothing and see no ads; the teacher plan covers them.

Can I move my Quizlet sets to StudyPDF?

StudyPDF builds material from uploaded files, so the simplest route is to export your set as text, save it as a PDF or document, and upload it. The bigger win is uploading the slides and readings behind the set, because then the quizzes, guides and Bo's answers come from the full material, not only the cards.
