Practice questions are the whole game in bar prep

The bar exam is not a reading test. On the MBE you face 200 multiple choice questions across two three hour sessions, and in UBE states you also write six MEE essays and two MPT tasks. Rereading your outline does not prepare you for that. Answering questions under pressure does. The catch is that your outline and your question bank are usually two separate things. StudyPDF closes that gap: you upload your own prep book, outlines, or notes, and it generates practice tests from that exact material, with citations back to the page each question came from.

How to make bar exam practice questions

Four steps from your prep material to a graded practice test.

01

Upload your material

Add your bar prep book PDF, your outlines, or your class notes. Scans and handwriting work too.

02

Generate a practice test

StudyPDF writes MBE-style multiple choice and essay prompts from your material. Pick the sections and set a timer if you want one.

03

Take it like the real exam

Answer everything before you see any feedback. No hints, no early answers, just you and the questions.

04

Read your graded report

You get results per section plus a per-concept weakness breakdown. The next test targets exactly what you got wrong.

Drill MBE-style multiple choice by subject

Upload your Contracts, Torts, or Evidence outline and generate a sectioned test in the MBE format: a fact pattern, a call of the question, four answer choices. Turn on the timer to match real pacing, roughly 1.8 minutes per question, and answer everything before you see a single result. After you submit, the graded report shows your score per section and breaks your misses down by concept. So instead of vaguely knowing you are weak in Evidence, you learn it is hearsay exceptions specifically, and the next test you generate leans into exactly that.

Practice essays from the same upload

Multiple choice alone does not get you ready for the written day. StudyPDF also generates essay prompts from your material, so you can practice spotting issues and writing rule statements on the topics your own outline covers. The same upload gives you flashcards for black letter rules and a study guide that condenses the material. One prep book in, a full study loop out: read the guide, drill the cards, take a test, and let the weakness report decide what comes next.

What you get

Practice that comes from your own prep material, not a generic question bank.

  • Unlimited practice tests from one upload
  • Questions match your prep book, not someone else's
  • Every question cites the page it came from
  • Per-concept mastery shows what to drill next
  • Essay prompts to practice issue spotting and rule statements
  • Flashcards and a study guide from the same upload

Start with one outline

Upload a single subject outline and generate your first practice test in a few minutes. Take it timed, read the report, and see exactly where you stand in that subject. It is free to start, no credit card, and the free tier covers most of a prep season. Add outlines subject by subject as you go.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

No. StudyPDF is not affiliated with the NCBE or any state bar authority, and it has no access to real exam questions. Every question is generated from the material you upload. For officially released questions, go to the NCBE directly. StudyPDF is for unlimited practice on your own prep material.

The MBE is 200 multiple choice questions split into two three hour sessions of 100, and 175 of them are scored. In UBE states you also take the MEE, six essays in three hours, and the MPT, two 90 minute lawyering tasks. StudyPDF mirrors the format: sectioned tests, an optional timer, and no feedback until you submit.

Your bar prep book as a PDF, subject outlines, class notes, or study guides. Scans and handwriting work, and so do photos, websites, and YouTube videos. The questions come from whatever you upload, with a citation to the exact page each one is based on.

Every answer you submit updates a per-concept mastery score. The graded report shows results per section plus the specific concepts you missed, and the next test you generate can target those weak spots instead of repeating what you already know.

Yes. StudyPDF generates essay prompts from your uploaded material, so you can practice issue spotting and rule statements on your own outline's topics. You also get flashcards for black letter rules and a study guide from the same upload.

It is free to start, and no credit card is needed. The free tier covers most of a term of studying. You only upgrade if you need a bigger weekly pool of credits for heavy prep.

Your course, not the internet.
