Interleaving

Interleaving is a study method where you mix different topics or problem types in one session instead of doing one type at a time.

Studying one topic in a long block, called blocking, feels smoother but you are really just repeating the same step. Interleaving mixes problem types so you have to first work out which method applies, which is the skill an exam actually tests.

It feels harder and slower in the moment, and that is the point. The extra effort is what makes the learning stick and transfer to new problems.

How StudyPDF does this

Bo can build a mixed quiz or mock exam across several topics from your course, so you practise choosing the right approach, not just repeating one.
